GUIDELINES FOR A SAFE & ENJOYABLE WEEKEND

IMPORTANT: THE GATES DO NOT CLOSE.
THEY ARE OPEN RIGHT THROUGH FROM NOON ON FRIDAY UNTIL THE SHOW CLOSES ON SUNDAY.

WARNING TO THE PUBLIC - MOTOR SPORT CAN BE DANGEROUS

Despite the organisers taking all reasonable precautions, unavoidable accidents can happen. Please comply with all instructions of marshals and notices and remain in permitted areas only.
THEY ARE CONCERNED WITH YOUR SAFETY.

1. DRIVING ON SITE
Ten mph on site please, anyone 'speeding' or driving in a dangerous manner will be evicted. No warning, no refund, no messing. Obviously, the Drag Strip is exempt. No driving/cruising on site (apart from arrival). No parking on any roadway - park only in the camping or parking areas and in accordance with the instructions of the parking marshals. No quad bikes, mopeds, go-peds or any other unlicensed motorised vehicles are allowed on site. No stunts, burnouts or donuts etc. anywhere on site, any persons found doing so will be evicted off the site immediately.

2. NO GLASS ON SITE
No glass bottles, jars etc. are allowed on site. This is for you and your car's safety and especially for those in the camping areas. Please decant any drinks into plastic containers before you arrive. Glass bottles will be confiscated.

3. NOISE
Please remember noise from the racing, especially drag cars and exhibition vehicles, including the Jet Car, can be loud. Please wear ear protection at all times in close proximity of the track, especially children. Ear protection can be purchased from the Santa Pod Shop. Independent sound systems are not allowed on site. Any music should be played at a reasonable level and all music should be switched off by midnight. We are not being Nazis, VW Action is a family event. Please be good neighbours.

4. WATER
There are several water points on site, please don't waste it. Please turn off taps after use.

5. RESTRICTED AREAS
Please stay out of restricted areas. Please observe signage. Do not trespass onto any of the adjoining private fields or woods. Any persons found on adjoining property will be evicted off the site immediately. Never enter restricted areas, even if it looks safe. Outside of event opening times the raceway is a construction site. Certain areas are dangerous, if you choose to leave the campsite or car park areas, you do so entirely at your own risk.

6. FIRES & BARBEQUES
Absolutely no open fires allowed. Only contained fires, raised off the ground are permitted. Anyone found to be collecting wood from Santa Pod or adjoining private land will be ejected from the event. Barbecues are welcome but must be raised off the ground, on something safe. After use let them cool properly and please dispose appropriately.

7. PETS
No dogs or pets of any kind are allowed on site for any reason. This is a Santa Pod rule and we abide by it. (Santa Pod explanation HERE.)

8. FIREWORKS, CHINESE LANTERNS & DRONES
Fireworks and/or Chinese lanterns are not permitted at Santa Pod Raceway as they are a fire hazard, anybody caught releasing/setting off fireworks or Chinese lanterns will be removed from site. No unauthorised aerial drones of any kind are permitted over the site.

9. FIRST AID & SECURITY
Medical assistance can be found at the Medical Centre, located at the bottom of the concrete ramp down the bank, adjacent to the VW Action Information Centre. Please see MAP. Security staff will be on site at all times throughout the event to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable time. Their instructions must be followed at all times. Please contact them in any emergency. Security are your 'friends' but they can't be everywhere. If you see something suspicious or someone causing upset, please tell Security. Better to deal with things immediately than moaning on an internet forum three days later.

10. LITTER
Please dispose of your litter in the refuse sacks provided and/or in the clearly marked bins throughout the site. If required, extra refuse sacks can be obtained from the VW Action Information Centre.

11. VALUABLES
Please bring only essential valuables and try to keep them on your person. Do not leave them in tents or on display in cars.

12. WI-FI
Free Wi-Fi access is available in the Pod Cafe next to the Pod Shop.

13. SURROUNDING VILLAGES
Please drive carefully through the surrounding villages and towns. A weekend away is no excuse not to be good neighbours.

14. TICKETS, ENTRY & EVENT CONTENT
Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of Santa Pod Raceway, The Promoters and any relevant motor racing governing bodies including the FIA, and are valid for the date(s) and that/those day's duration of the event shown only.

Any person entering the Venue does so at his/her own risk and that neither the Venue, the Promoter, nor any other organiser, can be held liable for any risk, danger/loss, including bodily harm, personal property damage/loss, or any other incident arising from attendance at the Event whether occurring before, during or after the Event, with the exception of incidents arising from gross negligence and/or wilful misconduct.

WARNING - Motor sport can be dangerous - it is a condition of entry that all persons entering the Venue shall co-operate by (i) complying with all instructions and guidelines given by stewards, marshals, safety personnel and other authorised persons, (ii) producing a valid ticket on request, and (iii) submitting to inspections and allowing removal of unauthorised objects.

It is forbidden to use, possess, hold or bring the following items without limitation to be assessed at the discretion of the stewards: animals, glass (including all bottles and jars), bonfires, portable viewing structures, unlicensed/unauthorised motor vehicles of any type, weapons, projectiles, flammables, other objects identified by stewards, safety personnel or other authorised persons which may affect security or safety at the Event.

Any person entering the Venue acknowledges that it is a public event and agrees that use may be made free of charge of his/her voice, image and likeness by means of live or recorded video display, broadcast or other transmission or recording, photographs or other current or future media technologies.

The organisers reserve the right to vary, and/or amend, and/or cancel [under unforeseen circumstances], any/all advertised events or programmes or schedule at any time. No refunds unless the event is cancelled in its entirety.

The ticket grants access to a Sporting Event only. Access to collateral/ancillary activities, including music, provided by the event in support of the Sporting Event will only be granted under the generic Sporting Event ticket, as no ticket for any collateral activities can be purchased as a standalone. All music/entertainment etc. is free of charge when purchasing your VW Action Sporting Event ticket.

IT IS A CONDITION OF ENTRY THAT YOU AGREE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES. THE PROMOTERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION AND/OR EJECT ANYONE INFRINGING THESE CONDITIONS - WITHOUT COMPENSATION. THE PROMOTERS ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER, AMEND OR ADD TO THESE CONDITIONS AS THEY SEE FIT.
